A unique and special project,
yours!

We work for over 120 clients in Italy and abroad. We do this both as a supplier for a specific series of parts and as a collaborative partner in the design and production phase, leveraging all our experience and expertise. Do you have a job in mind?

CNC turning is a machining process where the workpiece rotates and the tool removes material. It’s ideal for cylindrical components (shafts, bushings, rings, pins, seats) and, in general, for parts with rotational symmetry. It’s the right choice when you need repeatability, precision, and stable production across multiple parts.

To quote quickly and accurately, these are usually enough: a 3D file (STEP/IGES) + a 2D drawing (PDF/DXF) with dimensions and tolerances + information about material, quantity, and required finish. (If you don’t have a 3D file, it’s often possible to start from the 2D drawing, but 3D speeds things up significantly.)

Tolerances depend on the material, geometry, lengths, surface finish, and the inspections required. A key point: tighter tolerances increase cost and lead time, so it’s best to keep tight tolerances only on functional dimensions and use standard tolerances elsewhere.

CNC turning is typically available for prototypes as well as small/medium batches. What changes is setup time, machine time, and inspection requirements. If someone is looking for “single-part CNC turning” or “small batches”: it’s possible, but the cost-effectiveness improves with repetition.

CNC turning commonly covers aluminum alloys, steels, stainless steels, brass/copper, titanium, and other engineering materials. Material choice affects tooling, parameters, finishes, and cycle times.

In addition to the “machining” finish, deburring, mechanical finishes and, when required, process treatments/finishes can be provided (depending on specifications and supply chain). In CNC machining, finish and requirements also influence process choice and setup.

Dipende soprattutto da complessità, disponibilità materiale, finitura e controlli. Online you often find “typical” windows in days/1–2 weeks, but the correct answer for a service page is: it is defined based on the design and quantity, because setup and controls vary greatly.

-Use tight tolerances only where needed (functional dimensions)
-Avoid geometries that require multiple re-setups/repositioning
-Specify quantity, material, finish, and priorities upfront (lead time vs cost vs precision)
