A unique and special project,
yours!

We work for over 120 clients in Italy and abroad. We do this both as a supplier for a specific series of parts and as a collaborative partner in the design and production phase, leveraging all our experience and expertise. Do you have a job in mind?

CNC milling removes material from a raw block to create surfaces, pockets, slots, holes, and 3D geometries. It’s suitable for plates, brackets, supports, housings/covers, prismatic components, and parts that require machining on multiple faces.

In short: 5-axis (or indexed 3+2) is helpful for complex geometries, off-axis holes, non-orthogonal surfaces, or when you want to reduce setups and improve tool accessibility. 3-axis is often more cost-effective for simpler parts and standard volumes.

Typically: a STEP/IGES 3D file + a dimensioned PDF (tolerances, surface roughness if required), plus material, quantity, and required finish. If there are mating fits, it’s best to indicate the datum strategy as well (GD&T if already available).

They are defined based on the geometry and the function of the part. A key note for anyone searching “CNC milling tolerances”: tighter tolerances affect cost and lead time, so it’s best to apply them only where they are truly needed.

Yes. CNC milling is often chosen for prototyping and pre-series because it starts from CAD files and doesn’t require molds. Cost-effectiveness then improves with repetition and setup optimization.

Typical guidelines: avoid features that are too small relative to available tools, use consistent internal radii, reduce the number of re-setups, and clearly define critical surfaces. Design-for-milling guides (3/5-axis) strongly emphasize these points
